Friday, May 18, 2012 “What’s Going On"
Hey guys! Looks like we're in for another beautiful weekend. The fishing has been very good around the area. The Schroon River is pretty high, but thats not slowing down the fishermen. The trout are hitting on a variety of spoons and spinners, and live bait. The flyfishermen are also doing well. Large beadhead nymphs and wooly buggers have been working well. I've also heard of success using wet flies and streamers, particularly on the salmon. We have a great selection of trout tackle, fly gear, and bait in stock. Also... this Saturday is the kids fishing derby at the mill pond in Brant Lake. It starts at 8am. There's lots of great prizes. Hope to see you soon!
